Perfecto

Perfecto is the result of a free study from Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and Mario Ceroli’s Squilibrio. It is a model made entirely of wood (national walnut) recovered from processing waste for the manufacture of classic furniture. A leather hook (recovered from processing waste of bracelets), fixed in the upper part of the sphere, embellishes the object.

The gure of the Vitruvian Man, engraved in a mirror-like manner on both sides, and positioned centrally inside the sphere, rotates freely on the central axis together with the circle and the square of which it is an integral part. The references to Europe are a symbol of the free exchange of ideas and common culture.

The model, supplied in a kit with instructions in Italian and English, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the death of the great Tuscan genius, was produced in a limited edition and numbered equal to the number of years that have passed. No. 1 was reserved for the Municipality of Vinci, where Leonardo was born on 15 April 1452, no. 2 for the Proloco of the same town, and no. 500 for the city of Amboise, in France, where he died on 2 May 1519.

Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man is like the ultimate fusion of art and science, a timeless symbol of human perfection. Picture a man—arms and legs outstretched—captured within both a circle and a square, representing harmony between the human body and the universe.

This sketch, more than just a doodle, is Leonardo’s genius take on proportions, inspired by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius. It’s not just a drawing, it’s a celebration of how math, nature, and art all come together, showing how humans are perfectly designed to fit into the grand design of the cosmos. Think of it as the original blueprint for balance, beauty, and brains.
